Why Mahatma Gandhi Wanted To Teach Handicrafts to Kids?

Mahatma Gandhi is one of the most admired figures in the history of India’s struggle for independence. Had a profound vision for the holistic development of society. His philosophy of non-violence, or Satyagraha, extended beyond politics and encompassed various aspects of life, including education. During a period when many people in India didn’t have jobs and were very poor, Gandhi thought teaching kids crafts was a good idea. He thought this would help make poor people’s lives better and reduce poverty.
